Jerome: I enjoy going to the gym, trying new foods, and finding something new to do. As of right now, my streak on Duolingo surpasses 2,200 days, with the occasional freeze streak to save the day.
O: What’s your skin type and main skin concerns?
Jerome: My skin type is oily. My main concerns are reducing the amount of oil my skin produces while ensuring my skin remains hydrated, especially after shaving a few times each week.
O: Tell us about your relationship with skincare over the years.
Jerome: Before my time at The Ordinary, I didn't have a proper routine at all. I've come a long way from washing my face with a bar of soap and thinking that the tight skin feeling was a normal part of the process. Today, I take better care of my skin, especially my face, with proper face wash, anti-aging products, hydrating moisturizers, and a good sunscreen. It's a straightforward routine that works for me.

O: How do you adapt your skincare routine for specific concerns or situations?
Jerome: Since my skincare routine is minimal, it's more about remembering to pack my essentials while travelling, such as sunscreen, a moisturizer, a good face wash, and body lotion.
O: What’s your favourite formulation at The Ordinary and why?
Jerome: I’m obsessed with the Saccharomyces Ferment 30% Milky Toner. It's a light exfoliator that has significantly improved my skin's texture. I've also noticed fewer blemishes within a few days of using the toner consistently. I love how it feels on my skin, and the results have been noticeable, which is why I use it regularly.
O: What’s a skincare tip you live by?
Jerome: Along with using Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% on my face to reduce my skin's oiliness, I found out that using niacinamide on my neck was an excellent solution for razor bumps.
O: Do you have a clever way you use or combine products from The Ordinary?
Jerome: I use Salicylic Acid 0.5% Body Serum on my back and chest right after I shower and before applying lotion to my body.
O: What has been your biggest skincare a-ha moment since starting at The Ordinary?
Jerome: Discovering the power of direct acids and light exfoliators. They not only help maintain a brighter complexion but also contribute to long-term improvement in skin texture.
