O: What are you up to when you’re not working?

Momina: I love to travel! I’m always on the lookout for my next adventure, whether that’s exploring a new country, doing day trips to cities I’ve never been to, or bringing friends and family together for a spontaneous weekend getaway.

Momina’s Skin Story.

O: What’s your skin type and main skin concerns?

Momina: I have dry skin that can be prone to breakouts.

O: Tell us about your relationship with skincare over the years.

Momina: I naturally have dry skin, which means finding products that actually hydrate without feeling heavy is key. More recently, I’ve been navigating hormonal acne, which has taught me a lot about understanding what truly works (and what doesn’t) for my skin. Skincare for me is both a way to care for myself and a constant process of learning and adapting.

Momina’s Top Picks.

O: What’s your favourite formulation at The Ordinary and why?

Momina: It has to be the UV Filters SPF Serum. I love that I can layer it under makeup without it feeling heavy, and it leaves my skin with a subtle, healthy glow. Because I deal with hormonal acne and have a prescription cream, I have to be careful with which actives I use. This SPF works perfectly with my routine, protecting my skin without causing breakouts. It’s one of those products that just fits seamlessly into my life, while giving real results.

O: In your opinion, what’s the most underrated product at The Ordinary?

Momina: The Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density. I've noticed some early signs of hair thinning, which I’m honestly a bit insecure about. Adding this to my nightly hair care routine has made a huge difference. I’ve noticed my hair feels stronger, fuller, and healthier overall. Plus, it’s easy to use, so it actually sticks in my routine. It has made me feel way more confident about my hair.

Tips & Takeaways.

O: What’s a skincare tip you live by?

Momina: Since I deal with hormonal acne, I really pay attention to how my skin reacts to different actives. I’ve found that layering hydration first, like a lightweight serum or moisturizer, before using stronger actives helps prevent irritation and keeps breakouts in check. It sounds simple, but this small tweak has made a huge difference in keeping my skin balanced and comfortable.

O: Do you have a clever way you use or combine products from The Ordinary?

Momina: I always keep a 30ml of Natural Moisturizing Factors + Phytoceramides in my purse to double as a hand cream. The rich hydration is much needed for my dry hands.

O: What has been your biggest a-ha moment while working at The Ordinary?

Momina: Realizing just how complex each ingredient is and how much thought goes into every formula. I’ve learned that skincare isn’t just about mixing ingredients. It’s about understanding how each one works, how they interact, and how they deliver results. What’s amazing about The Ordinary is its ingredient-first approach. Everything is transparent, science-backed, and designed to make real change for your skin without unnecessary extras. It really changed the way I think about skincare, personally and professionally.
