We’re starting off with Centella asiatica, a plant that has quite a few nicknames such as gotu kola, cica, and tiger grass to name a few. For centuries, it has been used in traditional medicine, and more recently, it has been studied for its benefits in skincare.

Centella Asiatica contains many bioactive molecules, and we have chosen three of the most powerful: asiaticoside, madecassic acid, and asiatic acid. These three activated forms of gallic acid work to help soothe skin discomfort and target the appearance

of redness associated with external irritants, while also helping to reduce water loss.

Additionally, this formulation also includes bisabolol, a molecule known for its ability to reduce the look of skin redness associated with skin discomfort. Together, these skin soothing ingredients help promote a more balanced-looking complexion.

Apply after cleansing to dry skin. As the serum is an emulsion it should be applied earlier in your regimen. We recommend applying after other similar water-based serums such as Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, but before oils or creams such as Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA. About 2-4 drops is enough for the face and neck, and our Soothing & Barrier Support Serum can be applied in the morning and evening.
